Bollywood Remakes Of Hit Tamil Films
Singham Returns is the sequel of famous movie, Singham starring Ajay Devgn who is playing the role of Suriya Sivakumar from the Tamil version. This Rohit Shetty's film is a remake of South-Indian film, Singham. While the first version was a south remake, Singham Returns is apparently a typical Rohit Shetty style action film.
There are many Bollywood movies which are a remake of superhit South-Indian films. The trend of remaking hit south films is not new. Many Bollywood actors like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are working in South remakes and ruling Bollywood.
While many south remakes are seen in Bollywood, there are some that are coming up. For example, Singham Returns, Kick and Shortcut Romeo are some of the south remakes in Hindi. It is interesting to see that a lot of Tamil films are being remade in Bollywood.
For example, the last release of Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha Holiday is a remake of hit Tamil film, Thuppakki. The movie became a superhit and Akshay Kumar with his role as a soldier won many hearts. The Khiladi of Bollywood has already done some south remakes like Rowdy Rathore. Now, Akshay Kumar is apparently working on Tamil remake of AR Murugadoss' Ramana. Pizza is one of the upcoming Bollywood movies which is a remake of Tamil film of the same name.

Thuppakki was a superhit Tamil film of Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal which was remade in Hindi starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.

Ameesha Patel is making her lead comeback with this Tamil remake of Thiruttu Payale.
Singham
Singham is one of the biggest hits of Suriya which was made in Hindi by Rohit Shetty later. Now the sequel is coming up which is apparently different from the original version.
Force
This is another hit Tamil film Kaakha Kaakha starring Suriya in the lead role. The Tamil remake in Hindi had John Abhraham and Genelia D'Souza in the lead roles.
Ghajini
Asin and Suriya starred in this superhit Tamil film. However, in the Hindi version, Asin made her Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan.
Tere Naam
One of the biggest hits of Salman Khan is also a Tamil remake of the film, Sethu.
Khushi
Kareena and Fardeen's flop film Khushi si also a Tamil remake of Kushi which starred Joseph Vijay and Jyothika Saravanan.

The multi-starrer Bollywood movie is also a Tamil remake of Aayutha Ezhuthu.
Saathiya
The movie that shot Vivek Oberoi and Rani to fame overnight is also a Tamil remake of Alaipayuthey.
