Happy New Year: 10 Memorable Dialogues From Shahrukh Khan Starrer

Happy New Year movie starring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, directed by Farah Khan has been breaking all Box office records. It had minted Rs.108.86 crores, the biggest opening weekend that a Bollywood movie has got at the Indian Box Office.

Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. (RCE) raked in Rs.104.10 crore in Hindi, Rs.2.92 crore in Telugu dubbed version and Rs.1.84 crore in its Tamil dubbed version. Venky Mysore, CEO of RCE saide, "We are thrilled that after 'Chennai Express' had set a new record in 2013, 'Happy New Year' has set another new benchmark. We are grateful for the ongoing love and support of audience."

Gaurav Verma, chief revenue officer, RCE, said, "We are thankful to all our partners, exhibitors and especially YRF (Yash Raj Films) for helping us achieve this significant milestone."

The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah. Sonu Sood even stopped signing films after HNY in hope to change the direction of his career in Bollywood. He said, "I am looking at HNY as a cut-off point in my career. I am hoping that one phase of my professional life has ended and a new one will begin. I've therefore signed no films after HNY. I want to see the reaction to my performance as one of the film's protagonists."

While Big B is super proud of his son's successful movie and therefore took to his blog to share his joy with his fans. He posted, "The well wishers surge in numbers...they are excited and loud in their love...the gates unable to contain their enthusiasm, are not enough to hold them at a distance...there is a special attraction today -- Abhishek aka Nandu Bhide from HNY ('Happy New Year')."
