Kareena Kapoor: From Bebo To Heroine

Actress Kareena Kapoor is all set for her next release Singham Returns in which she is paired opposite actor Ajay Devgn. The actress gave number off stunning performances in her 14-year-long career.
Acting is in her blood as she hails from the Kapoor family, considered as Bollywood's first family.

Therefore, both the film fraternity as well as the audiences always expect the best from her. Kareena made her acting debut opposite actor Abhishek Bachchan with the film Refugee which was released in 2000. The actress impressed the audience with her performance and won the award for Best Female Actor (Debut).

Kareena is one of the actresses to have romanced, on screen, with all three Khans of Bollywood i.e. Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir. She has also worked with her hubby Saif Ali Khan, B-town's fourth Khan, in several movies.

After essaying the role of a simple Muslim girl in the debut film, Kareena showed her sexy avatar in her next film Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham. Kareena is still remembered for her role of Poo in the film.

A glamorous Kareena took everyone by surprise when she decided to play the role of a prostitute in Suhdir Mishra's film Chameli. She was critically acclaimed for her performance and also bagged the Award for the Best Special Appearance in the year 2004.

After the success of the film Chameli, the actress won the Best Actress Award for the film Dev in which she starred opposite Fardeen Khan. Kareena did a non-glamorous role in Dev as she came on camera with zero-makeup.

One of the most interesting role of her career was of Dolly Mishra in Vishal Bhardwaj's Omkara - an adaptation of Shakespeare's Othelo. In the film Kareena gets married to Omkara against the wish of her father. Kareena won the Critics' Award for the Best Actress for her performance in Omkara.

On the personal front, the actress has never hidden her relationship status. Kareena was in a serious relationship with actor Shahid Kapoor for a long time, but the reason for their break up is not known. Interestingly, Kareena gave the most successful film of her career with ex-flame Shahid Kapoor in the year 2007. She was seen romancing Shahid in the film Jab We Met which was directed by Imtiaz Ali.
Her character of Geet mesmerizes the audience even today.
