Kochadaiiyaan is the first Motion capture 3D computer-animated period film in Bollywood which is releasing in 6 languages; Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bhojpuri, Marathi to name a few. After a lot of delayed dates, the film is finally set to release on May 23rd, 2014.

The movie is all the more hyped because it stars Rajinikanth who is donning the look of Shiva. The Thalaivar is going to play 3 different roles in the movie. He is also carrying his Thalapathi hairstyle in the film. Costume designer Neeta Lulla has created about 20-30 different looks for Rajnikanth. Best thing, if you miss young Rajini then you must watch Kochadaiiyaan. His face is scanned to make him look 25 years younger!
Deepika Padukone
The gorgeous actress Deepika is making her Tamil debut with Kochadaiiyaan as the female lead. The role Princess Vadhana was earlier rumoured to be offered to Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif and Asin as well. However, Deepika who was slated to pair with Rajinikanth in Rana, took up the offer in February 2012. You get to see the unusual but a strong couple of Rajini and Deepika in Kochadaiiyaan. Deepika's dialogues are dubbed by Savita Reddy as the producers wanted some authentic Tamil pronunciations. It is rumoured that Deepika was offered 3 crore for 2 days shoot as Princess Vadhana in Kochadaiiyaan.
Multi-Starrer Film
Kochadaiiyaan is one of the releases of 2014 which has many stars in the movie. The hefty star cast includes Jackie Shroff, Aadhi, R. Sarathkumar, Shobana, Rukmini Vijaykumar and Nassar. Even old actors like Nagesh, S.A.Ashokan, M.N.Nambiar, R.S. Manohar and P.S.Veerappa will be brought back on-screen with the help of animated technologies.

The movie promises to be a treat to the eyes. It is the first photo realistic 3D film ever produced in India. Kochadaiiyaan is equipped with Auro 3D sound technology and four separate tech teams and many teams worked to make it picture perfect.
Father and Daughter Movie
The film is directed by Rajnikanth's daughter, Soundarya R. Ashwin. It is apparently the first time daughter is directing her father in a movie.
Music
The music is given by the maestro, A R Rahman. You can hear the notes and sounds of guitar strains, orchestra and pensive instruments. As soon as the music was released, it stood at the top position on the iTunes charts across India, and its music became a top trending topic on Twitter as well. Engay pogudho vaanam, Hey!
