Finding Fanny movie's first look is out, both Arjun Kapoor's and Deepika Padukone's first look is a never seen before one. After giving four consecutive hits in 2013, her next most awaited film is Finding Fanny and Happy New Year.
With the team releasing the first look of the movie, we thought why not reveal to you the special tits-bits about this movie. Finding Fanny is directed by Cocktail director Homi Adjania and is set to take the box-office by storm soon. The team will be releasing their first promo this month as well. While there is a lot of expectation riding on this movie, Deepika revealed that since it's an off-beat film, it may not be ringing the cash registers but she wanted to dabble with the subject.
Arjun Kapoor is seen sporting a bohemian look in the film, clad in a dirty green vest and wearing funky shades. And Deepika Padukone looks gorgeous in her itsy-bitsy dress but the most striking aspect about this picture is the visible kathaari in Deepika's hand with blood on it. Wonder why though?
Homi Adajania also gave hilarious letters to the cast and crew of his movie. When he was asked about it, the director told a leading tabloid, "It was a very hard shoot, which we knocked off in 41 days and it was only possible owing to an amazing bunch of people. So, I wrote a letter to thank them. But it's personal so it won't make sense to anyone apart from them... Besides it's full of profanity so you won't be able to print it."
True to his words, the letter was actually too profane to publish in content. So, wondering what makes this film special? Go on, read and find out ten things that are 'Oh! So Special' about Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone starrer Finding Fanny.
Arjun Kapoor And Deepika Padukone Together
Arjun and Deepika are pairing up together for the first time. Since both these actors are good-looking and talented, their sizzling chemistry will be something to watch out for.
Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone
Ranveer and Deepika last paired up for Ram-Leela, and their chemistry was too hot to handle. This time Ranveer will be playing the role of Deepika's husband, which will be something to watch out for.
Arjun Kapoor is seen carrying a bohemian look. He plays the roles of Savio D'Gama, a mechanic who is in denial about being a loser.
Deepika Padukone's Look
Deepika Padukone plays a Goa girl named Angie and is seen wearing an apron and holding a blood stricken butcher's knife.
Ranveer Singh's performance in all his movies have been too good, so going by this obsession with perfection, in this movie also you will get to see him give a mind-blowing performance.
It's an off-beat bilingual movie. Homi Adajania/Kersi Khambatta had finished writing the script of Finding Fanny by 2009, 4 years after his first directorial venture Being Cyrus released. However, casting for the film became an issue as it was an offbeat film and so it look a lot of time to find the right cast.
Homi's last outing as a director was Cocktail, which was a classic film. So going by his film making skills and the fact that he has written the story, this will be one movie to watch out for.
Plot Of The Movie
Five Goans set off on a road trip in search of an old postman's childhood love, Stefanie "Fanny" Fernandes, though nobody knows whether she's alive or dead or just a figment of someone's imagination. However, the friends get lost, and the journey-originally intended to take 20 minutes-instead takes one and a half days.
Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapur will feature in prominent roles with Ranveer Singh doing a special appearance. So with such a strong star-cast this movie will definitely be worth the watch.
Music And Cinematography
The music director has not been listed by the team, but Homi's last movie Cocktail and Illumanti Films's last movies, Love Aaj Kal, Agent Vinod, Cocktail and Go Goa Gone have all had good music. So this will also have good music. The cinematographer of this movie, Anil Mehta was the one who worked in Jab Tak Hain Jaan, Highway, Rockstar and many more. All these movies have been shot in a very picturesque manner and since Finding Fanny is based on a road trip set in Goa and follows the journey of five characters, I am sure Anil's cinematography will be breathtaking.
