The movie Holiday- A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is a wake up call for those who are trying to invade our country. It is a Bollywood action thriller film written and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, and produced by Vipul Shah. It features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles, along with Govinda in a supporting role. It is a remake of the 2012 Tamil film Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles which was also directed by A. R. Murugadoss.

Story
It is a remake of Murugadoss' 2012 super hit Tamil film, Thuppakki, which became a hit on the account of its unusual plot, lead actor Vijay's performance, direction and bad guy in the shape of Vidyut Jamwal. The movie is a perfect mix of everything, romance, comedy, emotion and action. The story has a fresh take on patriotism which you just have to see.
Hero-Akshay
A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is an out-and-out Akshay Kumar vehicle. Akshay Kumar (Virat Bakshi), an Indian Army jawan who is on holiday but still never forgets his duty towards his country. Akshay is seen doing some mind boggling stunts and he decimates sleeper cells with his bare hands. The actor has given a brilliant performance, so all you Akshay fans just can't miss this movie.
Heroine-Sonakshi
Sonakshi Sinha (Sahiba), plays a boxer in the movie. Sona will be seen in a different light in this movie. The actor even took boxing lessons from Vijendra Singh for her role in the movie. So you have to watch the movie if you want see the new- slim and curvy Sona live in action.

Villain
Freddy doesn't play a bearded, chest thumping terrorist but a tech savvy guy without any back story of wrongs committed against him/his family. He has given a truly good performance as the main villain opposite Akshay Kumar.

All in all, with a tight screenplay Holiday movie makes for a great watch and will keep . The film conveys its message without losing out on the entertainment front. The pace is taut and the narration engaging. Action sequences are interspersed with comedy and romance, and don't allow your interest to flag.
