Years ago Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge released which made Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol the most romantic couple of Bollywood and years before that a film like Zanjeer was made which led to the nuptials of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

And then last year a remake version of Zanjeer was released which saw the combination of two good actors Priyanka Chopra and Ram Charan Teja. The stars are individually good actors but when they came together, it was sheer disaster. The new version of Zanjeer did not prove to be a successful formula for either of the actors.

Surprisingly, real life couple, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan too failed to create magic on the silver screen in Kurbaan but former lovers, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone churned out the biggest hit of the 2013, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Ranbir and Deepika are going stronger post their split and are said to be again uniting for a new film.

It is to be noted, superstars Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who are the most proven talents in Bollywood, could not strike the right chord in the film Robot. The movie proves to be a huge success but the on screen jodi was just not clicking together, the age difference between the two became just too obvious.

While this movie clicked, many other big-budget films fell flat on the box office due to the absence of a sparkling chemistry between the lead actors. The most recent example of which is Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, which saw Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan in the lead, the movie failed as a whole but the lack of chemistry between the lead actors was most responsible for the ultimate failure of the movie.
