It's quite natural when same-aged actors fall in love on-screen and their chemistry shows in an acceptable manner.

People were taken aback when Amitabh Bachchan was casted opposite Jiah Khan in the movie Nishabd. Amitabh Bachchan, was 65 and Jiah Khan was just 19 years old when she debuted with Amitabh in Nishabd. The movie performed reasonably good at the box office.
It was strange when Ranbir Kapoor was casted opposite Konkona Sen in the movie Wake Up Sid. Though Konkona is just three years elder to Ranbir, the pairing in the movie didn't make any sense. The movie's storyline turned out to be so good, that the unconventional pairing didn't matter. Wake Up Sid was a commercial success and Ranbir won numerous awards for his performence.
People were also surprised when Naseeruddin Shah was casted opposite Vidya Balan in, The Dirty Picture. Vidya, was half of Naseeruddin's age and due to the movie's plot, the age-gap issue was sorted out. The Dirty Picture, went on to be a successful movie.
It is now reported that Sohail Khan is all set to rope in Nawazuddin Soddiqui and Sunny Leone in his next. The pairing is ofcourse unconventional, but we're sure if the storyline is strong, nothing can stop the movie from being a success.

It was strange when Ranbir Kapoor was casted opposite Konkona Sen in Wake Up Sid. The pairing didn't make any sense. However, Wake Up Sid's storyline was so good, that the unconventional pairing was a commercial success.

Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone were not even considered to look perfect on-screen for Piku. The movie was so brilliantly made that the unconventional casting took a backseat and the film went on to be a super hit.
Ki And Ka
Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor's upcoming flick Ki And Ka is also an unconventional pairing. Arjun, was mostly seen acting along with Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone. We will have to wait and watch if this unconventional jodi of Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor would deliver the desired results.
Udta Punjab
Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh are paired alongside for Udta Punjab. The casting is unconventional as Kareena, was mostly seen acting along with Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan. We're sure if the storyline of the movie is good, it would be a success hands down.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai are the lead actors in Karan Johar's upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Ranbir is very much younger than Aishwarya and we will have to wait and watch as to what characters the duo would play in the movie.
