Bolywood star Aamir Khan turns 50 today. The perfectionist of Bollywood celebrated an early birthday bash with the media yesterday. While Aamir Khan is busy building up his body for his next venture Dangal, wife Kiran Rao is planning a nice surprise for him on his 50th birthday.

He started an early celebration by cutting a cake with the media people.

The actor said, "I have always worked from my heart and very few people get this opportunity. I feel grateful. I want to thank all the writers and directors with whom I have worked and it is their conviction that I have reached here."

Shahrukh and Salman Khan are also born in the year 1965, Aamir Khan says wittingly, "We all are turning 50 in the same year but we are not more than 18-20 years. And in three years we will turn 25."

Aamir Khan says his success is only because of his hard work and luck. He said, "I have learnt a lot from my mistakes and failures. Failures have taught me what to do and what not to do."

Aamir Khan says it's difficult to transform one's body at any age. He said, "Physical transformation is tough at any age and when you play with your body it is indeed tough. But as an actor I am enjoying this phase. If you are strict and disciplined then you can achieve this. When I look myself in the mirror, I feel weird sometimes."

Aamir said, "50 is just a number for me. As far as age is concerned, it is stuck in our minds. When one becomes an adult, they feel they are mature, but most people get stuck at an age. I still feel like 18."
