Alia Bhatt's 2 States Wins It All At Filmfare Awards 2015?

2 States was one of the biggest hits in Bollywood in 2014. The film which marked the debut of director Abhishek Varman was loved by both the audience and the critics.

The film was based on the novel 2 States which was written by Chetan Bhagat based on his real life incidents, he even penned the screenplay of the movie which kept the audience engrossed till the very end of the movie.

Starring Arjun Kapoor and Ali Bhatt in lead roles, the film told the story of two IIM students who fell in love with each other but the fact that they from different ethnic background caused a few problems. How the couple overcome the hurdles, convince the family and marry forms the crux of the story.

The film was a small budget movie produced by Dharma Productions, Karan Johar but when it came to Box Office collections the film minted in crores. The lifetime collections of the movie was more than Rs 100 crores.

This year when the Filmfare Awards 2015 nominations were announced we expected PK to be dominating for the movie was loved by all making it gross over Rs 650 crores at the Box Office. But much to the shock of all 2 States was dominating, yes the film is nominated in seven categories including the Best Film category.

One never expected the film to receive so much attention, we agree the movie was good but the best? 2 States has got a nomination in almost all categories.

This year, the major stars were 2 States, Queen, PK, Mary Kom and Haider but from the looks of the nomination list, looks like 2 States may just beat Haider and win it all.

Benny Dayal who has sung Locha-E-Ulfat in 2 States has got nominated for the Best singer in male category.
