Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan dated each other for a long time and the couple got engaged in the year 2002. The engagement took place on Amitabh Bachchan's birthday.

Unfortunately, both Karisma and Abhishek decided to part ways in the year 2003. And no one knows the real reason behind their break up.

However, Abhishek Bachchan found true love again, when he worked with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Mani Ratnam's film Guru.

Abhishek had once confessed in an interview that it was after the premiere of the film, Guru, in Toronto, when he proposed to Aishwarya and she immediately accepted his proposal.

He told, "I was filming in New York for a movie. And, I used to stand on the balcony of my hotel room and wish that, 'One day, wouldn't it be nice if I was together with her, married.''

''Years later, we were there for the premiere of Guru. After the premiere, we were back in the hotel. So, I took her to the very same balcony, and I asked her to marry me," Abhishek said.
