IIFA 2015: SRK, Salman, Aishwarya, Aamir & 27 Celebs Who Ditched The Awards Show

16th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards which was attended by a galaxy of top Bollywood celebrities got concluded on Sunday after three days of entertainment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

After being held at iconic locations like London, Dubai, Macau, Toronto, Singapore and Tampa Bay, the IIFA extravaganza came back to Malaysia for the second time for its 16th edition.

The awards show saw the attendance of several big celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Huma Qureshi and so on.

IIFA, which is conducted with a huge budget between $10 million and $25 million was held in Putra Indoor Stadium, which can accommodated over 8000 people and the tickets were sold out, indicating the success of the event.

Usually IIFA sees a lot of Hollywood stars as well, but this time not a single foreign celebrity was seen. "We invite Hollywood celebrities every year and they decide whether to come or not," explained Sarkari.

Like the Hollywood celebs who decided to give the show a miss this time, several top celebrities in Bollywood too decided to ditch the show for personal reasons or work commitments.

Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan is in hurry to finish shooting for Raees before starting Dilwale with Rohit, so the actor ditched the IIFA to concentrate on finishing his portions.

Salman Khan

Salman Khan who recently attended the AIBA show in Dubai had to seek court's permission once again to go to Malaysia for IIFA, with Bajrangi Bhaijaan trailer around the corner, he thought to give it a miss.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the actress who has been regularly attending IIFA gave it a big miss this year with her jam packed schedule of Jazbaa.

Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan had more important commitments of meeting the President of India for a small Piku screening and so he decided to miss IIFA.

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan doesn't believe in award shows and has never attended any, so it he was bound to not attend IIFA as well.

Sidharth Malhotra

Sidharth Malhotra, the actor who is busy shooting for Kapoor and Sons with Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan, too chose not to attend IIFA.

Akshay Kumar too is busy with his films, Brothers, Airlift and so on that he has no time for award shows.

Ranbir Kapoor too for some reasons decided to miss the show, probably the failure of Bombay Velvet is the reason.
