IPL 8: Hrithik, Anushka, Shahid, Saif And Farhan's Flop Show!

Indian Premier League 8 opening ceremony kick started with Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma's performances despite rain.

The IPL 8 opening ceremony was the most anticipated and extravagant event which turned out sour. Right from Shahid Kapoor's performance to Hrithik Roshan's finishing performance, nothing seemed to go on as planned.

Despite rain acting spoil sport, the event started although with some minor glitches. The first dampener of the event came down from rain God and the ceremony started once rain stopped.

Emcee Saif Ali Khan chose to wear a traditional outfit and he was left clueless about hosting the event. The actor goofed up far too many times which started right from introducing the wrong cricketers on stage to Saif staying mute when the cameras focused on him to say something while the crowds waited.

This is the worst and disastrous IPL 8 opening ceremony ever when compared to the previous year cash-rich inauguration.

Shahid Kapoor started off with his performance dedicated to Mithun's 'I'm a disco dancer' song. He stumbled on stage, almost fell off from his bike and forgot his steps while performing. Despite all these glitches, he was looking super handsome and his Udta Punjab look was revealed.

After Shahid's performance, it was Anushka Sharma's moment. The lady who gave a movie (PK) which was the highest grosser of 2014, didn't have any clue in the choice of songs for her performance. Nobody except Anushka would dare choose a slow track for an event like this. Except for her beau Virat Kohli, nobody enjoyed her lackluster performance.

Farhan Akhtar chose to enthrall the crowd with his singing skills. While all one could think was, why didn't he think of lip-syncing his songs instead of Live performance?

Hrithik Roshan's emotional and fiery dance made the crowd scream in happiness, however the songs which he chose were far too old and not interesting. With background dancers goofing up all steps, Hrithik performed and shined.

With all these major goof ups and confusion surrounding the opening ceremony of IPL 8, it was a complete Flop show!

Now, this is what happens when a sports event is collaborated with Bollywood and all the attention is stolen by the stars. However, this IPL 8 opening ceremony lacked all glitz and ended up as an epic fail!

Emcee Saif Ali Khan has never hosted any show with so many glitches and goof ups. Introducing wrong cricketers to staying so silent when expected to speak, Saif had far too many failures.

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor's performance was also filled with many bloopers. The actor almost fell from his bike and stepped on a broken stage. He forgot his steps while performing but still shined bright.

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma performed for the first time in an IPl opening ceremony. The actress had no clue in the choice of her songs but continued to keep her beau Virat Kohli entertained.

Virat Kohli is watching his girlfriend Anushka Sharma perform with concentration and interest.

Farhan Akhtar

Farhan chose to sing songs from his movies like Rock On!, Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara among others. He tried to give an electifying performance but failed.

Hrithik Roshan

The Greek god looked so handsome and performed in a fiery way. Although his songs were too old for performance, he still rocked it!.
