Two weeks before Jab Tak Hai Jaan's release, Ajay Devgn, whose Son Of Sardaar was also releasing on the same date, sent a notice to the Competition Commission of India accusing Yash Raj Films. The notice said that they used their dominant position to secure many desirable single-screen theatres for their release.
Fortunately, both Ajay Devgn and Shahrukh Khan's film performed very well at the Box office.
