Super-Hit Bollywood Movie Roles Rejected By Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan is one of the biggest superstars in the country who has many super-hit Bollywood movies to his credit which may make us think that he has the knack to spot the super-hit roles but that is so not the case.

In fact Hrithik had his share of wrong evaluations as well where he ended up rejecting movie roles based on different reasons which went onto become super-hit movies.

Off late he has been having a good inning at the Box Office, from his Jodha Akbar, Agneepath, Krrish 3 to Bang Bang, have all been Box Office hits and his upcoming projects too are with esteemed directors like Ashutosh Gowariker and huge productions like Yash Raj Films.

His next is an action film with YRF and Mohenjo Daro with Ashutosh Gowariker. According to the latest news, National Award winning Costume Designer Neeta Lulla will be styling for the cast of the film and Oscar-Award Nominated and Emmy-Award Winning April Ferry has designed costumes.

Ashutosh Gowariker said, "Costume Designer April Ferry designed Mohenjo Daro, but when Hrithik's injury pushed the schedule ahead, April had to leave as her contract period ended in December. Thankfully, Neeta was gracious enough to come on board and work from where April left off. Now, she will be handling the Styling and Looks for the cast. I am glad, because it is wonderful to be working with Neeta again."

This film is jointly produced by Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and Disney India. This is one of the most anticipated projects in 2015 and it is said that Mohenjo Daro will be set in an Indus Valley set and is all set to release on August 12 of 2016.

Shuddhi:

Initially this project of Karan Johar was supposed to be done by Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor but Hrithik and Karan could not set a good deal leading to the actor opting out of the project which has not landed in the lap of Salman Khan.

Main Hoon Na:

Hrithik was offered to play Shahrukh's brother in the film but the actor felt the role had no depth or importance in the story and so rejected the role which later was essayed by Zayed Khan.

Swades:

Hrithik was offered the role of Mohan Bhargava in Swades but the actor rejected the role for reasons best knwon to him and Shahrukh replaced the actor in the project. SRK won a number of awards for his performance in the movie.

Dil Chahta Hai:

Farhan Akhtar wrote the role of Siddharth keeping Hrithik Roshan in mind but he rejected the movie role which later went to Abhishek and finally to Aamir Khan.

But just before filming the movie Farhan swapped Aamir and Akshaye Khanna's roles in the movie.

Rang De Basanti:

Yet another blockbuster Hrithik rejected. The alleged reason for this is said to be that he wanted to play the role of DJ which was essayed by Aamir Khan and so Hrithik opted out of the project as he did not get the role he wanted.

Bunty Aur Babli:

Hrithik's previous outing with YRF, Mujhse Dosti Karoge was a big flop, he opted out of Bunty Aur Babli and he was replaced by Abhishek Bachchan who went to get Filmfare nomination for the role.

Hollywood Debut

Fast And Furious director Rob Cohen is apparently a big fan of Hrithik Roshan, owing to which he offered him a number of roles through which he could make his Hollywood debut but Hrithik's father, Rakesh did share the same idea saying that his son will not be signing any international projects anytime soon.
