Hero
movie
was
a
classic
hit!
We
are
talking
about
the
1983
one
people!
Jackie
Shroff,
Meenakshi
Sheshadri
starrer
directed
by
Subhash
Ghai
became
a
such
a
big
hit
that
it
changed
the
lives
of
everybody
involved.
Jackie
Shroff
became
famous
as
Jackie
through
this
movie,
Meenakshi
too
became
a
top
star
and
everybody
loved
Subhash
for
casting
these
newcomers
who
went
onto
to
give
great
films
to
Bollywood.
Salman
Khan
expected
a
similar
thing
to
happen
to
his
proteges'
Sooraj
Pancholi
and
Athiya
Shetty.
The
film
was
given
so
much
hype
that
the
final
product
failed
to
withstand
the
expectations
of
the
viewers
and
critics.
The
movie
has
obtained
mixed
opinion
from
viewers,
some
liked
the
lead
actors'
performances
while
others
thought
that
they
didn't
do
justice
to
the
1983
flick.
Sooraj
and
Athiya
may
become
stars
tomorrow!
Directors
and
producers
may
notice
their
acting
capabilities
but
Hero
will
become
what
Saawariya
became
to
Ranbir
Kapoor
and
Sonam
Kapoor,
a
forgettable
debut.
The
music
and
songs
have
become
a
huge
hit
but
will
the
film
also
obtain
the
same
kind
of
success?
Only
time
will
tell!
2015
version
of
Hero
was
bad
compared
to
the
original,
much
like
some
of
the
worst
remakes
that
Bollywood
attempted!
Check
out
the
worst
remakes
of
classic
films...
Karz
Where
Rishi
Kapoor's
Karz
became
an
iconic
vengeance
story,
Himmesh
Reshammiya's
new
version
became
an
iconic
joke!
Bol
Bachchan
Bol
Bachchan
was
loved
by
the
audience
since
it
was
a
typical
Rohit
Shetty
entertainer
but
they
did
not
prefer
it
over
the
first
one!
Himmatwala
This
was
one
of
the
worst
remakes
one
could
have
made!
It
is
right
up
there
with
Ram
Gopal
Varma
Ki
Aag.
The
lead
actors
and
the
director
himself
regrets
ever
having
made
this
movie.
Zanjeer
Ram
Charan
should
have
opted
for
another
movie
to
step
in
Bollywood,
Zanjeer
was
a
real
bad
choice.
It
was
no
where
near
the
original
and
its' collection
at
the
Box
Office
became
a
laughing
stock.
Umrao
Jaan
Even
Aishwarya
made
the
blunder
of
enacting
in
the
remake
of
Umrao
Jaan
that
Rekha
had
etched
in
our
minds.
While
she
put
her
best
foot
forward,
it
still
wasn't
good
enough.
Ram
Gopal
Varma
Ki
Aag
This
was
a
remake
of
Sholay
and
RGV
obtained
huge
flak
for
this
disastrous
remake
of
a
cult
classic.
He
made
a
joke
of
himself
by
making
this
movie.
Chashme
Baddoor
While
the
movie
did
do
justice
to
the
original
and
made
for
a
good
watch
with
a
lot
of
hilarious
scenes,
the
viewers
preferred
the
original
to
the
remake.
Khoobsurat
Yet
another
Rekha
classic
which
was
spoiled
by
the
younger
generation.
If
Aishwarya
couldn't
come
close
to
Rekha's
adaa's,
wonder
what
gave
Sonam
the
confidence
that
she
would
be
able
to
do
it.
The
Shaukeens
This
was
a
remake
of
Shaukeen
which
became
a
big
hit
in
1982
but
the
2015
version
did
not
even
recover
it's
production
cost.
Victoria
203
The
1970's
adventurous
film
was
a
hit,
had
it
been
left
at
that,
it
would
have
been
great.
Instead
they
remake
it
with
Anupam
and
Om
Puri.
Two
talented
actors
were
wasted
in
this
otherwise
bad
film.
