"A mighty pain to love it is,
And 't is a pain that pain to miss;
But of all pains, the greatest pain
It is to love, but love in vain."

The great English poet Abraham Cowley's words on unrequited love aptly describes the pain and agony of a broken heart. Bollywood has been weaving tales of jilted love even long before Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil happened!
