December is turning out to be an awards season with so many awards ceremonies happening in the silver screen world. Yesterday night, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards took place in Mumbai and it was filled with fun, games and electrifying performances by Bollywood stars. This is India's only award show by the kids, for the kids and of the kids.
Bollywood celebs including Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were seen gracing the orange carpet of the event and all were seen having a blast with kids at the same.
Deepika Wins Best Actress Award
Actress Deepika Padukone won 'Best Actor (Female)' award for Bajirao Mastani while actor Salman Khan won 'Best Actor (Male)' for Sultan.
SRK: Icon Of The Year
Shahrukh Khan won the 'Kid's Icon Of The Year' award at the Kids' Choice Awards 2016. After receiving the award Khan said, "I was told that as an artiste if I can win the heart of a kid I am a true entertainer. Today, winning this award is proving to that. I am very happy and it is special. Though I was busy shooting, I am here today because this award is by the kids."
Varun: Best Entertainer
While Varun's highly energetic performance on all his super-hot songs like Saturday Saturday, Dishoom, Manwa Emotion among others was enjoyed by everyone, the actor bagged the award of Best Entertainer Movie.
Alia Bhatt With Varun Dhawan
Alia Bhatt, who performed with all the toons like 'Motu Patlu' and 'Ninja', won the Nickelodeon 'Kamaal Ki Jodi' award along with Varun Dhawan.

She said, "I am so happy to be part of Kid's Choice Awards which is the only award show of its kind centered around kids and their choices. The energy and the entertainment at the awards were intense and being surrounded and cheered by kids while performing is an unforgettable experience."

SRK On His Fav Show
When asked about his favourite show as a child, SRK told media at Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards 2016, "Unfortunately, when I was a kid, we did not have so many cartoon channels, so there was not much option for us. Even today, when I go back home at night, I watch all my pre-recorded DVDs. I even watch Nickelodeon, some of which are even translated n different languages."
When media asked SRK, "Something of your childhood you miss the most?" SRK told, "I watch a lot of Nickelodeon."
"I have children of all ages, so I have been watching it for years now. I love coming here (at the award show). Though I am extremely busy today and I had lots of work, I took out time, because for me, coming here to Nickelodeon's Kid's Choice Award is most important. I actually love kids," added Shahrukh Khan.
