Meanwhile, Sonu recently revealed that he has stopped celebrating his birthday after his parents' demise. The actor told Times Of India, "I have not been celebrating my birthday since a couple of years. I just spend time with my family. Since I lost my parents, the whole zeal of celebrating birthday fizzled out. I believe celebrations will always be incomplete without them."
Recalling his childhood memories of celebrating his birthday in his hometown, Sonu told DNA, "My parents would celebrate it in a big way, with a huge cake, a party, etc. All my friends would look forward to the bash where top bureaucrats and other known people would attend. I was more excited about the number of gifts I would get. I would spend the whole night unwrapping my presents. Back then, all of that was quite exciting."
