His last rites will be held today, after a postmortem in Mumbai, at his Versova residence. The actor is served by a daughter and his wife. In fact, this big revelation was made by Neena Gipta herself. Back in 2021, when the actress launched her autobiography, Sach Kahun Toh, she made several shocking revelations in the book about her personal life and revealed that his good friend and filmmaker late Satish Kaushik had offered to marry her when she was pregnant with her daughter and fashion designer Masaba with West Indies cricketer Viv Richards'. Neena revealed that he came forward to help with the offer of marriage.
"Don't worry, if the child is born with dark skin, you can just say it's mine and we'll get married. Nobody will suspect a thing." Neena Gupta rejected his offer and remained a single mother.
Afterwards, talking to the Bombay Times, Satish Kaushik also admitted to the offer of marriage and the reason behind it. He said, "I used to appreciate the fact that a girl at that time decided to have a child out of wedlock. As a true friend, I simply stood by her and gave her confidence. Whatever you are reading in the memoir, it was all an expression of my affection for her as a friend. I was concerned about not letting her feel alone."
He then added, "At the end of the day, that's what friends are for, right? As mentioned in the book, when I offered to marry her, it was a mix of humor, concern, respect, and support for my best friend in her time of need." The filmmaker-actor then revealed that Neena Gupta teared up after hearing his offer and said,"I told her, 'Main hoon na, tu chinta kyu karti hai. She was moved by the gesture and was in tears. From that day onwards, our friendship grew stronger,"
