Shah Rukh Khan On His Popularity: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest and the last of the stars India has ever seen. He has been ruling millions of hearts for the past two decades.

Known as the King of Romance, Shah Rukh enjoys a humongous fan following and still makes his fans melt with his charming smile and humble personality. The actor is currently rejoicing over the success of his recently released film, Jawan.

Amidst this, an old video of the talented actor talking about his love for popularity has gone viral on social media.

An old video of the Pathaan star is doing the rounds on Reddit, where he can be seen talking about his love for popularity. When asked if he would want his privacy back, the actor had a different take on it.

He said he had worked very hard to get where he wanted to be recognised by people. He stated: "No, not at all. I said this, in one interview, in my documentary that all my life I have worked so that I can be recognised. I want thousands of people to scream my name out when I get off the airport."

"I want girls and little children to tear my clothes off. I have worked very hard for this. And then I find it very stupid when I see stars wear dark glasses to hide their faces. I think I want to be recognised,"he added.

He went on to say, "Given a chance, I'd give my left arm and right arm to be recognised and have no privacy. I want to be known. I want to be disturbed. I want to be troubled by as many people for as many years as possible."

Redditors, however, felt his comments were cringe and found him rude. One of the users said, "Does anyone else find SRK's so-called 'Witt' just him being narcissistic and cringe?" Another said, "No wonder he proposed to PC on an award night."

"That was utterly disrespectful to his wife and shameless on his part," commented one. "SRK has this dry humor which is sometimes difficult to understand where it's sarcasm and where real," said one user.

A reddit user wrote, "He likes to be disturbed, just like he was disturbed to hell during Aryan's case." "I read somewhere that he went berserk when media leaked the surrogacy news of Abram," read one comment.

Shah Rukh Khan began his career with the television series Doordarshan. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana.

Over an illustrious career, he has worked in blockbuster movies including Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer Zara, Swades, Jab Tak Hain Jaan, and many more.

He gave two massive hits in 2023 after a hiatus of four years with Pathaan and Jawan. He has a third release, Dunki, which is slated to release in December.
