Gauri, a celebrated interior designer, has made considerable appearances on the show. Unraveling Their Love Story: The Possessiveness and The Break

However, unknown to many, the couple traversed through quite a tumultuous start to their relationships. Gauri, on an episode of Koffee With Karan in 2005, revealed how she contemplated leaving SRK owing to his extreme possessiveness. She was just a college student back then and didn't feel ready for marriage. Gauri took a small break from their relationship to socialize and discover her own self.

"Just that I was too young, in college. I thought maybe it was too young for us to decide anything about marriage," Gauri Khan was quoted as saying by India Today.

SRK's Confession of his Possessive Nature

In a candid interview with Simi Garewal in 1997, SRK himself confessed about his possessive nature. He compared this attribute of his to that of a possessive dog. The star agreed to his wife's allegations and went on to confess that he disallowed Gauri from wearing white clothes, as he thought they were too revealing. Despite his errors, SRK showed he learnt his lessons, and their love eventually flourished.

Shah Rukh Khan recounted his and Gauri's love story during his interview with David Letterman. He reminisced about his beach wanderings in Mumbai in search of Gauri. He found her and after their reunion, the lovebirds engraved a beautiful love story. Today, the couple is blessed with three children - Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, and continues to inspire many with their love story.
