Throwback: Varun Dhawan Lifts Gigi Hadid & Kisses Her During A Performance; Latter Gives A Classy Response

Gigi Hadid has been all over the headlines for a shocking reason. The American model was recently arrested for possessing marijuana. This reportedly happened during her vacation in Cayman Islands. It was reported that she was travelling with her friend when she was arrested. Although she was released on bail later, the incident has certainly sparked a fresh controversy.

But this isn't the first time she has been mired in a controversy. The diva had made heads turn with her visit to India early this year as she attended the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) event.

And while Gigi won hearts with her stunning looks, it was her performance with Varun Dhawan that got the tongues wagging. It so happendd that a video from the event went viral wherein the Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania actor was seen lifting Gigi up, spinning her and even kissed her on the stage while she was about to leave the stage.

The video left everyone brimming with an opinion and Varun was slammed for his 'inappropriate' behaviour. While the incident got the tongues wagging, Gigi soon came out in Varun's defence. Sharing a video of the incident an emphasised that she didn't have a problem with Varun's action. Instead she thanked tha actor and wrote, "@varundvn making my Bollywood dreams come true".

Meanwhile, Gigi has also been grabbing eyeballs for her proximity with Leonardo DiCaprio. As per the gossipmills, Gigi is currently dating Leonardo. However, the sources close stated that the Titanic star has no plans to settle anytime soon. "Leo is living his best life and he's one of the happiest people [his friends] know. He has a very fulfilled life and enjoys the comforts of doing as he pleases anywhere or anytime. Some of those in Leo's inner circle are convinced he'll never fully settle down and get married," a source was quoted saying to Us Weekly.
