The last seasons of Koffee with Karan have been really appealing, giving the audience an insight into celebrity lives, work as well as love affairs. Now, the fans of KWK are waiting with bated breath for season eight.

Today to make your Thursday a little better, we have brought some throwback from one of the iconic episodes of Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor. The Bollywood divas graced the Koffee couch in Season 3 in 2010. It was a hilarious episode as the actors decided to roast their ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor.

While Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor dated each other when they both worked as ADs on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black. However, their romance was short-lived.

SONAM AND DEEPIKA ROAST RANBIR KAPOOR ON KOFFEE WITH KARAN

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were in a relationship for almost two years. They were one of the most loved couples. It was apparently being said that the break-up happened because Ranbir cheated on her with Katrina Kaif, however, there was no clarity. While Ranbir never spoke on the issue, Deepika often made some cryptic statements.

When Deepika and Sonam appeared on KWK, KJo asked Sonam what she thinks of Ranbir, she said that the RK is a "great friend", but she can't tell "if he's a great boyfriend". Sonam even applauded Deepika for hanging onto Ranbir for so long.

DEEPIKA SAID THAT RANBIR SHOULD ENDORSE A CONDOM BRAND

Talking further, Deepika said that she would like to gift Ranbir a pack of condoms. She even said that went on to say that Ranbir should endorse a condom brand. Deepika said that she would go back to sleep if she ever woke up as Ranbir one day. She even rated him the least on sex appeal.

RISHI KAPOOR'S COMMENT ON DEEPIKA PADUKONE AND SONAM KAPOOR

Deepika and Sonam's comments irked Ranbir Kapoor's late father Rishi Kapoor. After the episode was aired, Rishi had said to a leading tabloid, "Well to put things in the right perspective, all I can say is that with both the girls it is a case of sour grapes. I have known Sonam's father Anil for years. All I will say to the girls is: instead of doing all this concentrate on your careers. Why do you run shows that have so much gossip? I have done Koffee With Karan earlier with Neetu, my brothers, and my sister; there was great camaraderie and laughter on our show. We didn't run anyone down. I don't think you should encourage people to wash dirty linen in public. You will never see Ranbir running anyone down."

He had even suggested Deepika and Sonam "stop giggling all the time and instead, grow up". He further added that "they are there on the show because they are their fathers daughters and not because of their work! I would advise them to stop talking about their colleagues and running them down".
