MADHURI DIXIT ON GETTING SCOLDED FROM MOTHER EVEN AFTER BECOMING A STAR
Madhuri Dixit was the reigning queen of Bollywood in the 80s and 90s. The 55-year-old acclaimed actress has time and again spoken about the close relationship she shared with her mum. She has always attributed her success to her mother and called Snehlata her inspiration. She once revealed how her becoming a star never changed their relationship. Her mother's behavior remained constant even after Madhuri turned into a bigger star in the country.
Last year, in an interview with a daily, Madhuri Dixit recalled how her humble upbringing was such that her incredible fame never got into her head. Recounting her mother Snehlata Dixit's behavior, which never changed even after she became a successful actor, Madhuri told ETimes, "I mean, even when I was working in films, my mom used to scold me if my room was messed up and things like that. So that's how I was brought up. And that's how I am. When I go home, everything is back in the studio. I see my kids and I see my husband and it's just a different life. I never really lost myself."
Further, talking about her upbringing, Madhuri Dixit said that she detaches herself once she is offscreen and is done with playing her film character. I've read a script, and I'm reading it and I'm playing that character. I become that character for the camera, but once I go back home, I am a normal person, because that's the way I've been brought up," she added.
We pray that the beautiful actress has the courage to deal with losing the most precious person in her life.
