Ranbir Kapoor On Competing With Khans: Bollywood Khan trio - Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan have been ruling millions of fans' hearts for over three decades now. The stardom that they have seen is quite impossible for today's generation of film stars to even witness.

Over the years, several actors came and went, but no one could challenge the position. A similar statement was made by Animal star Ranbri Kapoor back when he just started his film career.

When Ranbir Kapoor admitted he could never compete with the Khans

Ranbir Kapoor's latest hit Animal has turned out to be a huge hit and also beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan with its first Monday collection. While Animal minted over 39 crores, Jawan made close to 30 crores at the box office.

The film is doing great business at the box office and is also said to cross Salman Khan's Tiger 3's lifetime business soon. With Animal, Ranbir's status has transitioned to superstar, but he used to think otherwise.

The actor had earlier admitted that he could never be in the league of the Khans-Shah Rukh, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. Back in 2013, while promoting his movie Besharam, he said, "I can never compete with the Khans (Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir); they are the true superstars."

Well, it looks like 10 years after Animal's release, Ranbir has become more than an actor and is currently tasting superstardom.

Animal, released on December 1, also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimri, Bobby Deol, and others. Its synopsis reads, "A son undergoes a remarkable transformation as the bond with his father begins to fracture, and he becomes consumed by a quest for vengeance."

While the film is being criticised for 'glorifying toxic misogyny and toxic masculinity,' filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, Adnan Sami, and Ram Gopal Varma have come in support of it.
