‘It Is A Dua…’: When Shah Rukh Khan Showed His Sentimental Gold Locket Featuring His Parents’ Picture

Shah Rukh Khan's Gold Locket: Shah Rukh Khan, often regarded as the 'Badshah' or 'King of Bollywood', is currently gearing up for the release of his highly-anticipated film, Jawan. Over the decades, SRK has enthralled audiences with his iconic performances, and Jawan is another addition to his acting prowess.

But behind the glitz and glamour of the Bollywood world, Shah Rukh Khan holds a special place in his heart for his late parents, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima Khan. Recently, we stumbled upon an old video wherein he showed a locket which holds a sentimental value for the actor.

The heartwarming moment in question occurred during the promotion of his 2017 film, Raees. In the video, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen revealing a special locket with a profound connection to the attendees of the event. The locket showcased the cherished photographs of his late father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, and his late mother, Lateef Fatima Khan.

Talking about the locket that he was wearing, he expressed how it was a heartfelt symbol of their blessings for him. He conveyed, "I am not very symbolically attached to things. But I got this made for one of my birthdays. It is a prayer, a dua which my parents used to do for me. It has a picture of my parents."

Shah Rukh Khan, a father of three children, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, has always strived to be the best inspiration and pillar of strength for his kids. During an interview at the Sharjah International Book Fair, he was asked how his late parents would have reacted to his achievements and immense fandom if they were alive today.

SRK responded with deep emotion, stating that his parents would have been proud of the way he raised his children. He said, "But I think my father and my mother both would be very proud of I think my one achievement... If I can call it an achievement, I think it is something we have to do and something we live by... I think they will be proud of the way we have been able to bring up my three children. I think they will be very happy."

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan is helmed by Atlee and also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupati in the lead. The film is set for a theatrical release on June 7.
