Extra lengths to do <i>Goal</i> Justice

Okay, we all know by now that John Abraham has been finalized to enact the role of a footballer in Goal, directed by Vivek [Chocolate] Agnihotri and produced by UTV.

• The makers will be using the services of Andy Ansah, the football choreographer for most feature films and commercials made on the subject of football, including the celebrated Nike campaigns and the acclaimed European film of the same name. Andy has worked with the best football players in the world, both past and present, including Pele, Ronaldinho, Beckham...


• Location scouting has also begun in right earnest and the crew has zeroed in on Spain and U.K. to shoot the game in world class stadiums.

Says Ronnie Screwvala of UTV, "We are working 24/7 to ensure that we do justice to this amazing concept." As a matter of fact, John has always been a football freak and the passion for the game took him all the way to Germany this year to see the World Cup Finals.
