No lesbian role for Perizaad

Just recently Perizaad Zorabian made news when she signed an Indo-US project titled When Kiran Met Karen where she was supposed to play the main protagonist, who is a lesbian. And now the actress makes news again for refusing to play the same role that she was excited about, some time back.

She explained that she had personal inhibitions about playing a lesbian character and it would be unfair to play a character half heartedly. It was a case of developing cold-feet subsequently. However, Perizaad has nothing against the movie and feels that it will be a brave film.

Also director Manan Katohora respects her decision and feels that the past Bollywood films dealing with lesbianism have scared many actors. According to him the subject of lesbianism has not been treated properly in Bollywood.
