Priyanka turns into an item girl

Since her full fledged leading actress debut with Andaaz, Priyanka Chopra has looked forward to some substance to her role. There may have been an occasional Plan or a Kismat where she hardly had a flattering part but such films were far and few. Also, all this while she shied away from being an item girl for any of the films.

All this will change with Salaam-E-Ishq where she is an item girl. But her fans need not worry about their heroine being relegated to playing an item girl since it is not Priyanka, the actress but Kkamini, the character enacted by Priyanka who is a superstar item girl in the film.

Kkamini is shown as someone who desires to be a sole heroine one day and wants to be up there at all costs. How random scandals jeopardize her journey to the top and force her to come up with an ultimate plan that would help propel her standing to the top forms the crux of her story.
