3 big releases on Nov 24

The fact that Dhoom 2 has been shifted to November 24 spread like wild fire in the industry. Sensing that the seat occupied by Dhoom 2 is now vacant, producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who had shifted Jaan-E-Mann from August 25 to November 17, has now decided to release the film on October 20.

Yes, the Diwali/Idd week will now witness the clash of some of the biggest stars in the industry: SRK, Kareena, Priyanka [Don 2], Salman, Akshay, Preity [Jaan-E-Mann] and Abhishek, Aishwarya [Umrao Jaan].

With Dhoom 2 not in the race, producer Sajid Nadiadwala immediately took the decision of placing Jaan-E-Mann on October 20, after a meeting with his distributors on Thursday, July 13 evening. "Jaan-E-Mann is now arriving in Diwali. We've just confirmed the release date with the exhibitors too," Denis Selarka of Ashtavinayak [the Mumbai distributor of Jaan-E-Mann] confirmed to this writer.

So, as things stand today, it's Don versus Jaan-E-Mann versus Umrao Jaan on October 20.
