Aishwarya picks up what Shilpa dumps!

While critics were busy writing off Aishwarya Bachchan following her marriage, film offers kept coming in. Yes, Ash has been in the news for her international project Pink Panther. Now, the news has surfaced that Shilpa Shetty was the first choice for the role.

Ash's international agent Simone Sheffield claimed that Ash is the first and only choice for the role of Sophie in Pink Panther. However, Shilpa's spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar has hit back, saying that Shilpa was the first choice for the role. He said that the actress was offered the role two months ago but turned it down. He still has the offer mail that the film's casting director Ilene Starger had sent to the Celebrity Big Brother winner.

The shooting of Pink Panther is currently progressing in Paris. It features actors like Steve Martin, Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer, Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina and John Cleese. Robert Simonds produces the film and Harald Zwart directs it.
