Anil Kapoor turns detective

Anil Kapoor is truly experimenting with his roles, as has been the trend with this ever-so-sustaining actor in his three decade long career.

If he played a man going through mid-life crisis in Salaam-E-Ishq earlier this year, he promises to get into a Lakhan mode with his Majnoo bhai act in this Friday's release Welcome.

Well, 2008 seems to be starting on a rocking note for the actor as well as he turns detective in Abbas-Mustan's Race. Expected to release in the first quarter of the New Year, the film, as the name suggests, is a racy thriller in true Abbas Mustan style and boasts of a huge star cast comprising of Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif.

While Anil Kapoor plays the role of a detective, Sameera Reddy is his accomplice who in spite of being a bimbo always has a trick or two up her sleeves.
