After being slapped at every possible instance by his on-screen dad in Asrani and taken for a ride (literally) by his friends, Ashish threw a real surprise with his comic timing in Dhamaal.

In a film dominated by actors who have proved their worth in comedy (Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffry), Ashish made his presence felt and that too in a big way. Soon, he would be having a role reversal of sorts in his much delayed Speed releasing soon.

In this Vikram Bhatt directed film, he plays a London based super cop who is in charge of security of the visiting Prime Minister from India. A tough guy who is caught between his personal life and duty, Ashish gets to showcase a different facet of his acting talent.

A Harry Baweja production, Speed was all set to release on 28th September (after much delays) but has now been pushed (again) all the way to 19th October. A good decision though if the time in hand can be used to pep up the film's promotion.
