Darling
will
see
Isha
Koppikar
essaying
a
very
demure
and
down-to-earth
look.
Isha
Koppikar
burst
into
Bollywood
with
the
hit
item
number
'Khallas'
in
Ram
Gopal
Varma's
Company.
In
her
latest
movie
Darling
which
is
also
incidentally
directed
by
Ram
Gopal
Varma,
she
has
gone
to
the
other
end
of
the
spectrum
with
a
typical
middle
class
Indian
housewife
look
in
sarees
sans
make-up.
This
look
which
was
put
together
by
Komal
Shahani
required
a
lot
of
thought
as
Isha
has
always
had
a
glamorous
image.
But
Komal
found
Isha
to
be
completely
in
tune
with
what
she
wanted.
"Isha
was
totally
in
her
character
and
I
found
her
very
easy
to
mould." The
character's
look
required
an
absolutely
homely
image
which
is
why
the
sarees,
bindi
and
entire
look
has
been
well
co-ordinated
to
give
an
authentic
Maharashtrian
look.
Komal
says,
"Keeping
Isha's
complexion
in
mind,
I
gave
her
colours
like
Aubergine,
Scarlet
Red
and
other
bright
colours.
Her
character
is
soft
in
the
movie
which
is
contrasted
with
vibrant
coloured
clothes.
I?ve
tried
to
maintain
the
typical
housewife
look
but
with
a
hint
of
style."
Infact
so
impressed
was
the
designer
with
Isha's
comfort
level
that
she
vouches
Isha
can
carry
Indian
clothes
much
better.
Well
knowing
how
'Khallas' set
a
precedent
in
Bollywood
and
made
item
numbers
the
'in'
thing,
lets
hope
Darling
also
works
the
same
magic
for
Isha
once
again!
