It
was
way
back
in
1990
when
Aamir
Khan's
Dil
released
along
with
Sunny
Deol's
Ghayal
on
the
same
day.
Both
the
films
belonging
to
totally
different
genres
went
on
to
become
big
hits.
This
was
followed
by
Aamir
Khan's
Raja
Hindustani
and
Sunny
Deol's
Ghatak
releasing
very
close
to
each
other
in
November
1996.
Once
again
both
the
films
went
on
to
become
hits,
although
Aamir's
Raja
Hindustani
was
the
clear
winner
here.
History
repeated
itself
yet
again
when
in
2001
perfectionist
Khan's
Lagaan
hit
the
screens
on
the
same
day
as
macho
man
Sunny's
Gadar.
While
Lagaan
had
the
honour
of
reaching
the
Oscars
top
five
nomination
list,
Gadar
went
on
to
become
an
all
time
blockbuster
at
the
Indian
box–office.
So,
are
the
two
stars
clashing
at
the
ticket
window
once
again?
Sorry
to
disappoint
you
all!
Actually,
Aamir
is
doing
something
similar
to
what
Sunny
Deol
did
in
Gadar.
Remember
the
much
maligned
(by
the
critics)
hand
pump
action
sequence
(loved
by
the
audience!),
where
Sunny
Deol
uproots
a
hand
pump
and
beats
up
the
Pakistani
army
single
handedly,
for
the
sake
of
the
love
of
his
life?
Well,
we
hear
that
Aamir
Khan
has
done
a
similar
scene
in
ghajini,
although
it's
a
tap
here
which
has
been
utilized
for
the
purpose
of
beating
up
the
goons.
For
those
who
are
not
aware,
this
scene
was
there
in
the
original
South
version
too.
Unfortunately
there
is
news
that
the
censor
board
has
deleted
the
scene,
finding
it
too
gory
and
as
is
known,
ghajini
has
been
given
a
UA
certificate.
Here's
hoping
that
ghajini
does
a
Gadar
when
it
releases
this
Christmas!
