Though
Akshay
Kumar's
Diwali
party
on
Wednesday
night
had
several
B-Town
folk
in
attendance,
his
closest
buddy
and
production
partner
Vipul
Shah
was
conspicious
by
his
absence.
Says
a
source,
"There
has
been
buzz
about
problems
between
Akshay
and
Vipul
(who's
directing
the
Salman
Khan-Ajay
Devgan
starrer
London
Dreams)
though
both
have
denied
it.
The
rumour
that
did
the
rounds
some
time
back
was
that
Akshay
and
Vipul
had
differences
about
the
publicity
designs
of
Singh
Is
Kinng
and
over
certain
accounting
problems."
Adds
the
source,
"It
was
strange
that
neither
Vipul
nor
his
wife
Shefali
(who
is
close
to
Akshay's
wife
Twinkle)
attended
the
bash." The
source
continues,
"Akshay
extended
invitations
over
a
week
ago,
so
it
was
strange
that
Vipul
made
plans
to
go
to
Goa
with
his
family
just
a
day
before
Akki's
party."
However,
Vipul
maintains,
"I
had
to
miss
Akshay's
party
as
I
am
in
Goa.
I'll
be
celebrating
with
him
in
the
second
week
of
November,
when
we
announcing
our
next
film
together."
Interestingly,
Ajay
Devgan
is
also
in
Goa
with
wife
Kajol
and
daughter
Nysa.
Vipul
adds,
"I
am
with
family
and
friends
in
Goa
and
will
return
on
Saturday."
Vipul
and
Ajay
had
bonded
well
during
the
overseas
shooting
of
London
Dreams
and
so
had
Salman
Khan,
who
also
stars
in
the
film.
Both
Ajay
and
Salman
leave
no
stone
unturned
for
their
antipathy
towards
Akshay.
In
fact,
Salman
was
invited
to
Akshay's
party
along
with
his
brothers
but
he
chose
not
to
attend."
