Bachchan's give Filmfare a miss for SRK

Amitabh Bachchan and his family were conspicuous by their absence at the Filmfare awards. Says a source, "Last year, too, SRK said something to Amar Singh, which he took offense to. The following day, Amar Singh's party members created a ruckus outside SRK's house and he had to rush from his shooting to pacify his terrified children.

Later, the actor said, "I don't know why people who cannot take a joke come to this function. It's for the film fraternity and people who attend understand our inside jokes." This year when Amar Singh found out that SRK was hosting the awards, he decided to skip it and so did the Bachchans.

The official reason was that they were still in mourning for Teji Bachchan but last week, Big B's family attended the premiere of Jodhaa Akbar and a few days later, Abhi-Ash were seen dancing at a function so it's obvious that the mourning was an excuse to skip the function with King Khan behind a mike.
