Though
the
picture
is
still
quite
hazy
at
the
moment,
there
are
rumours
going
around
the
town
that
Shahrukh
Khan
may
have
an
unlikely
competitor
on
the
day
his
Billoo
Barber
releases.
And
this
competition
comes
from
none
other
than
Sooraj
Barjatya
whose
Ek
Vivaah
Aisa
Bhi
is
fast
reaching
the
finishing
lines.
While
Billoo
Barber
is
making
good
progress
as
well
to
meet
the
7th
November
deadline,
the
news
which
has
just
come
in
is
that
Sooraj
Barjatya
is
eyeing
the
same
day
release
as
well
for
Ek
Vivaah
Aisa
Bhi.
This
also
stems
from
the
fact
that
majority
of
biggies
which
were
slated
to
arrive
in
October/November
timeframe
have
seen
a
re-shuffle
in
their
release
plans
which
opens
the
slots
for
medium
budget
films
like
Ek
Vivaah
Aisa
Bhi.
A
Rajshri
production
which
promises
to
go
on
the
traditional
route
once
again,
especially
after
the
super-success
of
Vivaah,
Ek
Vivaah
Aisa
Bhi
was
launched
close
to
a
year
back.
It
boasts
of
an
unlikely
pairing
of
Sonu
Sood
and
Ishaa
Koppikar,
both
of
whom
would
be
going
through
a
complete
image
makeover.
In
addition,
the
film
stars
usual
suspects
like
Alok
Nath,
Smita
Jaykar,
Srivallabh
Vyas
and
Anang
Desai
along
with
Vishal
Malhotra
and
Amrita
Prakash.
Filmed
by
first
time
director
Kaushik
Ghatak,
Ek
Vivaah
Aisa
Bhi
is
written
by
Sooraj
Barjatya
along
with
Asha
Purna
Devi
with
music
and
lyrics
by
Ravindra
Jain.
On
the
other
hand,
Billoo
Barber
is
a
real
biggie
in
the
making
since
it
brings
together
Shahrukh
Khan
and
Priyadarshan
for
the
first
time
ever.
And
though
the
film
has
King
Khan
as
its
USP,
the
fact
remains
that
Irrfan
Khan
has
a
much
bigger
role
as
he
plays
the
title
role.
With
Lara
Dutta
as
the
lead
heroine
and
Deepika
Padukone
along
with
Karisma
Kapoor
making
a
special
song
and
dance
appearance,
the
film
is
touted
to
be
an
entertaining
affair,
what
with
Pritam
unleashing
quite
a
few
item
numbers!
Now
in
weeks
to
come,
it
would
become
clearer
if
Ek
Vivaah
Aisa
Bhi
would
indeed
end
up
clashing
with
Billoo
Barber.
Stay
tuned!
