If
Saif
Ali
Khan
found
a
way
to
be
with
ladylove
Kareena
Kapoor
on
her
birthday,
co-star
Deepika
Padukone
wasn't
far
behind.
The
actress
took
a
few
days
off
from
her
shoot
for
Saif's
home
production
and
flew
off
to
Ooty
to
be
with
beau,
Ranbir
Kapoor
who's
shooting
for
Raj
Kumar
Santoshi's
Ajab
Prem
Ki
Gajab
Kahani
there.
Says
a
unit
member
from
Santoshi's
film,
"After
shooting
continuously
for
a
couple
of
weeks,
Deepika
finally
managed
to
get
a
three-day
break.
Deepika's
quite
particular
about
birthdays,
anniversaries
and
the
like,
and
goes
out
of
her
way
to
make
these
occasions
special
for
the
ones
she
loves.
Her
secretary
requested
producers,
Saif
and
Dinesh
Vijan
for
Deepika
to
let
her
take
a
day's
break
for
Ranbir's
birthday.
Fortunately,
she
got
a
three-day
off."
The
source
adds,
"It
was
a
pleasant
surprise
for
Ranbir.
He
had
been
very
unwell
for
the
last
couple
of
days
and
was
down
with
fever
and
Deepika
had
been
very
concerned
about
him.
Also,
Ranbir
has
been
in
Ooty
for
the
last
40
days
and
Deepika
wanted
to
make
sure
that
he
wasn't
alone
on
his
birthday.
She
flew
in
from
Delhi
and
drove
three
hours
from
Coimbatore
to
Ooty.
The
unit
celebrated
by
bringing
in
his
birthday
on
Saturday
with
a
cake.
Ranbir
and
Deepika
went
out
for
a
quiet
dinner
afterwards."
There
was
a
slight
change
of
plans.
The
source
says,
"Originally,
both
were
supposed
to
fly
down
to
Mumbai
on
Saturday
evening
in
time
for
a
family
dinner
with
Ranbir's
parents,
Rishi
and
Neetu
Kapoor
at
their
residence
the
same
day
but
Ranbir's
shooting
schedule
got
a
bit
delayed
till
Sunday
because
of
the
bad
weather.
Ultimately,
both
Ranbir
and
Deepika
flew
back
to
Mumbai
yesterday
night."
Deepika
got
a
special
birthday
gift
from
Mumbai
for
Ranbir.
A
couple
of
months
ago
Deepika
had
given
him
a
MacBook
Air
as
he's
always
on
the
net
chatting
as
a
birthday
gift.
But
now
it's
something
more
special.
The
source
says,
"Ranbir
even
carries
the
laptop
on
the
sets.
It's
his
way
of
communicating
with
Deepika
and
his
friends
on
long
outdoors.
Initially,
Deepika
wasn't
very
net-savvy
but
now
that
she's
also
been
travelling
a
lot
and
finds
communicating
through
the
net
is
easier.
Both
have
Skype
(an
internet
program
where
one
can
make
free
calls)
on
their
laptops
and
chat
on
that."
