Kidnap preponed by a day

The release of Kidnap has been preponed. But this preponement is not for the Indians but for the overseas audience. Kidnap was to release worldwide on October 2nd which falls on Thursday. But the distributors of Kidnap, Indian Films - Studio 18 have decided to release it a day earlier abroad. So now it will release on October 1st in UK/Ireland, USA, Canada and the Middle East. It is learnt that this was basically done to coincide the film's theatrical release with Id which in all likelihood will be celebrated the world over on October 1st.

The action thriller starring Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Malvade, Minissha Lamba and current hearththrob of the nation, Imran Khan is one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2008. It is Sanjay Gadhvi's first film outside the Yash Raj banner after his stupendously successful Dhoom series. We tried to find out whether Indian audience too shall get to see Kidnap on October 1st and were told by one of the production house officials that at certain cinema halls a late night paid preview show might be a possibility in major Indian metros.
