Aditya
Chopra's
Rab
Ne
Bana
Di
Jodi's
music
may
well
end
up
topping
the
music
charts
for
the
year
2008.
One
can
notice
that
the
film's
music
sales
are
following
the
Singh
Is
Kinng
pattern.
This
in
turn
means
that
the
sales
are
extraordinary
in
North
India
and
overseas,
and
very
good
elsewhere.
It
is
learnt
that
in
heavily
Asian
populated
cities
like
London,
Vancouver
and
Birmingham,
songs
like
"Haule
Haule,"
"Dance
Pe
Chance" and
"Tujh
Mein
Rab
Dikhta
Hai"
are
ruling
the
charts
on
various
radio
stations.
It
was
similar
with
Singh
Is
Kinng
with
songs
like
"Bas
Ek
Kinng,"
"Jee
Karda"
and
"Teri
Ore."
The
sales
figures
till
now
are
around
11
lakh
units
and
could
get
near
20
lakhs
depending
on
how
the
film
fares.
The
sales
however
will
fall
well
short
of
the
last
YRF/Shahrukh
Khan
romantic
venture
Veer
Zaara
(2004).
Industry
sources
feel,
"There
are
two
major
reasons
for
this
first
being
the
music
is
not
as
strong
as
that
film
and
secondly
music
sales
have
generally
come
down
from
2004
due
to
the
continuing
heavy
piracy."
