It
seems
so
that
after
seeing
the
kind
of
success
Farhan
Akhtar
has
managed
with
his
Rock
On
songs,
Salman
Khan
wishes
to
sing
his
own
numbers
in
his
upcoming
rocker
flick,
London
Dreams.
Presently
shooting
in
London,
Salman
Khan
is
trying
his
best
to
convince
the
makers
of
London
Dreams,
that's
producer
Paramjeet
Singh
and
director
Vipul
Shah
to
let
him
give
playback
to
his
song
numbers
in
the
film.
He
feels
it
will
bring
authenticity
to
the
rockstar
character
that
he
is
playing
in
the
film.
He
had
earlier
sung
one
song,
in
his
home
production,
Hello
Brother
song,
"Chandi
Ki
Daal
Pe
Sone
Ka
Mor".
This
dahi
-
handi
number
is
played
during
the
festival
every
year
by
the
dahi
handi
organisers
for
a
decade
now.
A
production
source
reveals,
"The
makers
won't
take
the
risk
of
allowing
him
to
sing
all
his
songs
but
perhaps
one
song
may
be
given
to
him."
Farhan's
dad
Javed
Akhtar
and
Salman's
dad
Salim
Khan
were
old
associates
who
co-wrote
together
landmark
hits
like
Sholay,
Shakti,
Mr.
India
and
many
more
before
they
parted
ways
on
a
bitter
note.
They
both
haven't
reconciled
their
differences
for
a
good
two
and
a
half
decades
now!
But
very
recently,
Salim
Khan
impressed
by
his
old
foe's
son's
all
rounder
performance
in
Rock
On
invited
him
home
and
gifted
a
personal
memorabilia.
Salman
perhaps
is
expecting
the
same
from
Javed
Akhtar
after
he
does
the
same
with
London
Dreams.
London
Dreams
tells
the
story
of
two
best
friends
played
by
Salman
and
Ajay
Devgan
who
are
upcoming
musicians
who
go
from
Punjab
to
London
to
make
it
big.
How
jealousy
takes
over
and
spoils
their
friendship
and
how
the
common
love
of
their
life
(played
by
Ghajini
gal
Asin)
plays
an
important
role
in
getting
them
back
together
forms
the
rest
of
the
film.
