The whole country woke up when Shahrukh Khan brought to light the problems dogging Indian Hockey. He inspired many through his role as the coach of Indian Women hockey team in the film Chak De India. He declared that he is trying to do something for hockey, which is coincidentally the national game of the country.

After making so much impact on the minds of the people, Shahrukh has now shifted his attention to cricket, which is like a religion in India. Hockey is passe. He had recently won the bid for Kolkata cricket team for a whopping $75.09 million. The irony is that he has left hockey behind, which has no takers.
