Aishwarya throws Sonam out of Cannes?

Upcoming Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor was hopping like a little kid ever since she learnt that she would walk the red carpet at the Cannes International Film Festival along with Aishwarya Bachchan. She said that sharing the same platform with Aishwarya was a big deal in itself. But her dream was crushed at the eleventh hour and she was nowhere to seen at the Cannes.

The grapevine is abuzz with the news that Aishwarya Bachchan was happy to share the limelight with Sonam at the Cannes. She's also said to be miffed at Sonam's recent statement that she didn't belong to her generation. It's said that Aishwarya made it clear to the cosmetic company L'Oreal that only she should go to the Cannes, as she is the international face of the company while Sonam only represents the Indian face.

The brand bowed to the wishes of Aishwarya and Sonam was asked not to go to the Cannes. Vismay Shama, India head of the brand, said that the official statement on the issue would be released in a day's time.
