Deepika justifies kiss with Saif

At first, Deepika Padukone said she didn't kiss Saif Ali Khan in Love Aaj Kal when the news of their lip-lock hit the headlines. She said it was a cheat that was made to look like a real one. Now, she is eating her own words, as she says the scene was necessary in the film.

The media went on to write a lot about Deepika's kiss with Saif in Love Aaj Kal in spite of knowing the fact that both of them have steady lovers. Deepika has now justified the kiss by saying that it was necessary for the film. She added that she and her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor don't interfere in each other's work, as they both know what their profession demands.

Whatever it may be, the kissing story has given more publicity to their film Love Aaj Kal than their promotional activities at the ongoing Twenty20 World Cup in England. Kiss was necessary indeed!
