Hrithik backs out of Amitabh's role

It was reported that Hrithik Roshan would play Amitabh Bachchan's character Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in the remake version of Agneepath by Karan Johar but reality tells a different story. Hrithik has backed out of the film, as he has no dates available.

Karan is planning to start the film by early next year but Hrithik won't be available at that time of the year, as he has allotted his dates for Sanjay Leela Bhansali"s Guzaarish. Owing to this problem, Hrithik has asked Karan to look for another actor.

So, Karan approached Abhishek Bachchan, who willingly accepted the challenge to play his father's role. It may be recalled that Amitabh Bachchan got his first national award for his role in Agneepath.
