Aamir Khan at loggerheads with Peepli Live director

There is no doubt that when Aamir Khan gets committed to a film, the film turns out to be huge success. That is exactly what happened to his Oscar nominated film Peepli Live. A few days ago, the star producer was in news for all the good reasons, but the latest news accuse him of trying to steal all the credits and fame related to Peepli Live.

The director of the film Anusha Rizvi and her husband Mahmud Farooqui, who co-directed the film, complained that producer Aamir Khan and the co- producers UTV motion pictures took over the entire creative control of the film.

The director was completely ignored when Peepli Live was released in UK recently. Anusha then left for Delhi with her hubby Mahmood after the humiliation in UK. Anusha has stated that she has disassociated herself with the film as the producers tried to curtail her creative involvement.

This is not the first time that Aamir Khan has taken the entire control of the film in his hands. During the making of Taare Zameen Par, Aamir was not satisfied with the direction of Amole Gupte and thus took over the films direction himself. Similarly, during the making of the film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Aamir took over the director Abbas Tyrewala and personally got involved in the film's shooting and post production works.

However, Vidhu Vinod Chopra played it safe by including a clause in the contract of the film 3 Idiots, which stated that the actor cannot ask for any changes once the shooting starts.

The fact that Aamir Khan's midas touch works for all his films cannot be ignored, but to rule out the other peoples creativity in a film, is still a question which remains unanswered.
