Akshay left for Canada without Twinkle

Akshay Kumar was thrilled on Friday night after the bumper opening of his film Housefull. But by Saturday, it was a dejected Akki who left for Vancouver for a month long shooting schedule. At the last minute, his wife Twinkle Khanna had to stay back in the city for a work commitment.

The Kumars were to leave on Saturday night as their son Aarav is away at summer camp. They were looking forward to the break as the Khiladi has been shooting continuously and hasn't been able to give his family quality time.

Akshay is in Canada for the second schedule of Anees Bazmee's Thank You. And even though Tina was to join him for only four days, they were excited about the little break. Saturday afternoon changed their well-laid plans. "One of Tina's interior designing clients swung into town and requested an urgent meeting and she couldn't say no. The actor was naturally upset but he understood." Now Mrs Khiladi will join her husband on May 11."

After Canada, the actor will head to London for another shoot. And in June, he takes Tina and Aarav for a cruise on a luxury liner as part of their annual holiday.
