MS Dhoni's girls miss his wedding

Ever since Mahendra Singh Dhoni made it to the Indian cricket squad, speculations on his love life kept hitting the headlines hard. He was linked to a few Indian celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Asin Thottumkal and Lakshmi Rai, but like a bolt from the blue, he married Sakshi Singh Rawat on Sunday (July 4) in a hush hush manner. Surprisingly, the girls, who were linked to him, did not make it to his wedding.

It maybe recalled that MS Dhoni let rumour-mongers had a field day a couple of years ago by declaring his admiration for Bollywood actress Deepika, whose debut film Om Shanti Om had just hit the screens then. Then the rumours moved on to Asin Thottumkal and Lakshmi Rai but he neither confirmed nor denied his alleged relationships with them. What raised many eyebrows was that these girls did not attend his wedding.

Important personalities like ICC chief Sharad Pawar, BCCI President Shashank Manohar, former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje, actor John Abraham, Bollywood director Farah Khan and cricketers R. P. Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra and Suresh Raina.

Maybe Dhoni will invite them to his wedding reception, which is reported to be taking place in Mumbai tomorrow (July7).
